最大的競爭對手是Tomson Reuters 和 Dow jones，不過後者的市場份額已經很少了。近年來又出現了回SNL Financial 和Interactive Data Corporation等一些新興答公司。
㈣ 如何成為Rocket Internet的合夥人
Rocket Internet是德國的初創公司加速器，它在科技圈很有名，因為它總能在一些被低估但有潛力的市場，復制網路業務的成功。雖然很多人批評它缺乏創新，但其核心觀點是，成功的初創公司需要很強的執行力，不是靠偉大的理念。圍繞其核心策略，它會聘用擁有MBA學位及相關管理咨詢經驗的執行官來組成團隊。
但並非所有的執行官都是平等的。Muneeb Maayr是電子商務市場Daraz.pk的聯合創始人，對他來說領導一家Rocket Internet公司與它此前的領導經驗有很大不同。Maayr並沒有MBA學位或管理咨詢經驗，但他擁有的是成功幫助公司成長的經歷，願意親歷親為的意識，以及永不放棄的決心。
有人認為，Maayr的意志是受早年經歷的影響。盡管他生於一個富裕的巴基斯坦家庭，但父母離異，而且還有過經濟困難。

盡管如此，他還是畢業於美國頂尖的大學，並找到了一份不錯的工作。當他開始這段經歷時，家裡只給了他3000美元，而這是父母所有給的一切，剩下的都要靠他自己。
他不得不工作，以支付學費並增加工作經驗，為畢業工作做准備。他在假期會做一些零工，也會到可能聘用自己的公司實習。他對咨詢公司和投資銀行特別感興趣。
夢想的阻礙
盡管在大學期間換了三所學校，但Maayr的堅持還是得到了回報。他從弗吉尼亞大學畢業後，在前華爾街投資銀行Bear Stearns找到了工作。不幸的是，他入職時正值美國金融危機，Bear Stearns受到嚴重影響，成為第一批破產的公司，後來被出售給了JPMorgan Chase。Maayr與數千名同事一樣，不得不再次找工作。
整個過程並不容易，當時幾乎沒什麼工作崗位，因為公司都忙著減少虧損和裁員。Maayr當時也沒有美國護照，如果沒找到公司幫自己辦工作簽，就得離開那裡。後來，他回到了大學所在地，遇到了一家名叫SNL Financial的公司。
SNL Financial的商業模式很聰明，能在金融危機中獲利。本質上來說，該公司會將投資銀行，風投公司和私募公司中的分析師類工作外包給印度的專業人士。由於美國和印度的工資差距很大，所以美國公司能以較少的薪資開支取得同樣的工作效果。這種模式在經濟衰退期很有用，因為公司仍需要處理交易，但費用開支有限。
在Maayr遇到SNL Financial前，他就知道這種模式了。他意識到，這些工作本質上就是審閱上市公司的財務數據，然後將有用的數據交給管理人員。在巴基斯坦的合格MBA就能完成這種工作，並交結果交給在美國的公司，而且成本更低。
機遇
在加入SNL Financial幾個月後，Maayr說服了公司在巴基斯坦再開一個辦公室。當時，SNL Financial是一家估值3500萬美元的公司，而且仍在快速成長。分散運營部門很重要，因為印度的假期會停止公司的運作。他回到了首都伊斯蘭堡，並負責當地公司的管理工作，而且得到了一位合夥人。
他在創建公司，精減業務流程時遇到的最大問題是，缺少互聯網基礎設施。在當地，高速的寬頻連接僅限於政府設立的軟體園內，但那裡已經沒有地方，而且政府無意進一步擴展設施范圍。
