樓主，你好； 商務英語的特點及其翻譯技巧：商務英語具有自己的語言特點; 要真正掌握商務英語及其翻譯, 不僅需要精通英語語言知識, 還必須熟悉商務專業知識; 在商務英語翻譯中必須遵循一定的翻譯原則, 採用一些翻譯策略引言：在我國加入WTO以後, 國際商務活動日益頻繁。這些商務活動的許多領域, 如技術引進、對外貿易、招商引資、對外勞務承包與合同、國際金融、涉外保險、國際旅遊、海外投資、國際運輸等, 所使用的英語統稱為商務英語。商務英語已成為世界經濟活動中必不可少的語言交際工具。尤其是BEC( 劍橋商務英語證書) 在中國的普及, 使越來越多的人對商務英語及其翻譯產生興趣。際匯兌、會計學、運輸學、保險學、法學及國際商法等專業知識。因此, 要搞好這類內容的翻譯, 就要求涉外人員不僅應具有相應的專業知識, 而且要求了解商務領域的語言特點和表達法。近年來隨著經濟發展的全球化趨勢, 新的詞語層出不窮, 在翻譯時我們必須根據上下文去把握和理解其真正的含義一、商務英語的概念商務英語是主要用於國際貿易和營銷等商務活動中的一種特殊的英語語體。商務英語是專門用途英語的一個分支，與普通英語相比，沒有本質上的區別但是商務英語具有特定的「商務特色」。它在詞法、句法、語體等方面都有自身的特點，而且常常會涉及到許多不同的業務范疇。商務英語涉及到營銷、經濟學、金融學、會計學和管理學等許多邊緣領域，同時它好涉及到對外貿易、技術引進，招商投資、尚武談判、國際支出和結算等業務范疇。作為專門用途英語的商務英語具有與普通英語不同的特點，在使用上有其顯著特色主要表現在文體、語言和文化意識方面。二、商務英語文體的語言特徵商務英語有二種文體風格，分外正式文體和應用文體。商務文體是隨著商品生產及貿易的發展而形成的一種文體形式。2.1商務英語文體不以語言的藝術美為其追求的目標，而是講求邏輯的清晰和條理性、思維的准確嚴密以及結構的嚴謹性。風格朴實，明白易懂。商務信函一般風格朴實，明白易懂，淡於修飾，很少使用比喻、擬人、誇張等修辭手段，目的是提高實效性。2.2商務英語避免使用陳舊籠統的商業術語或套語，而用簡明的現代英語來表達。如不說「We are in receipt of」，而用「We have received 」 ； 不說「 Express myheartfelt gratitude to you for 」 ， 而用「Thank you for」。2.3商務英語在陳述事物往往具體、明確，絕不含糊其辭。如商務英語不說「We wish to confirm our telex dispatched yesterday。」 而要說「 We confirm our telex of July 2nd，2000。」因為前者籠統含糊，後者清晰明了。語句簡潔明快，邏輯嚴密簡潔明快主要表現在商務信函中多使用簡潔句、簡短並列句和簡短復合句。例如： We are delighted to receive your letter of November 18 asking whether we can supply you with Art. No. 6120。（很高興收到你方11月28日來函詢問我方可否供應6120貨號產品）。2.4商務英語的邏輯嚴密性主要體現在商務合同等法律文件多用長句、復合句、並列復合句等法律公文常用句式以及分隔現象、介詞（短語）、插入語、倒裝句、被動語態（ 過去分詞） 等特殊句型。例如： If Egyptian buyers insist on concluding business direct with Party A，Party A may conclude business with such Egyptian buyers who come to visit China or attend the Chinese Export Commodity Fair at prices not lower than those quoted toParty B.(如果埃及客戶堅持要與甲方成交，甲方也可和他們直接達成交易，但交易對象僅限於來訪中國或參加中國商品交易會的客戶，並且價格不能低於報給乙方的報價。)2.5商務英語文體語言措辭禮貌，禮貌是國際商務英語應用文中非常重要的語言特點。漢語的商務用語有時缺少必要的客氣，常見的禮貌用語往往只是一個「 請」 字。商務英語則比較講究客套，隨處可見禮貌的客套。例如，漢語中僅有的一個請字，商務英語中要用「We wouldappreciate」「It would be appreciated」，「We would be glad to」之類的結構來表達。因此漢英翻譯時切忌照原文字面硬譯，添加常用禮貌客套結構，措辭婉轉。三、商務英語語言特點3.1．專業性商務英語在詞彙使用上的最大特點是對專業詞彙的精確運用, 其中包含大量專業詞彙、具商務含義的普通詞或復合詞, 以及縮略詞等涉及商務理論和商務實踐等方面，其語言具有極強的專業性。如B/L（bill of lading）提單，Exp.&Imp.Inc（ export-import incorporated）進出口公司，forex：（foreign exchange）外匯，workfare（work welfare） 工作福利制， blue chip績優股，a firm offer實盤等等。不具有一定的專業知識是根本無法了解這些專業的商務英語詞彙的內涵的。3.2．書卷詞語的使用商務文體措辭嚴謹精確、正式和不帶個人感情色彩。為此，商務英語常用拉丁語派生詞取代同義的一般英語詞彙，這就是常說的書卷用詞(literary words或learnedwords)，即所謂的「大詞」。（1）冷僻用詞代替日常用詞Everything concurred to jack up theprice in the international market.(用concur代替come together)（2）大量使用古詞語商務文體中，古詞語時而再現，以體現其莊重嚴肅的文體風格。經常使用的古詞語多為一些復合副詞， 如： hereby （by this）； whereat（at/to which place）。3.3．新詞的使用隨著新產品、新工藝和新概念不斷涌現，科學的進步和工商業的發展，必然反映在構成語言的最小的、最基本的獨立運用單位詞彙上，隨之而來的就是新的商務術語的增加。如：cyber-payment 電子支付；emoney/cash 電子貨幣/現金； hi-techinstry 高技術產業。3.4商務英語內容縝密、周到, 結構復雜、意思完整由於涉及到雙方或幾方面的利益, 商務合同、文件或一個條約所給的定義、條款和內容必須精確。為了做到准確無誤,不產生任何差異, 用英語擬訂、書寫這些文件、合同時, 除用詞恰當外, 還經常使用許多從句、短語用來修飾或限定其內容,因此句子結構錯綜復雜。例如: Inspection: It is mutually agreedthat the certificate of quality and quantity or weight issued by themanufacturer shall be part of the documents for payment underrelevant L/C.( 商品檢驗: 雙方同意以製造廠出具的品質及數量或重量證明書作為有關信用證項目下付款的單據之一。) 句子中the certificate of quality and quantity or weight issued by themanufacturer shall be part of the documents for payment underrelevant L/C是主語從句, it是形式主語; It is mutually agreed用的是被動語態, 意思相當於Both Parties agree, 但前者比後者要正式3.5商務英語中大量存在著被動語態、祈使句、非謂語動詞和情態動詞。為了做到語言簡潔、內容表達客觀公正和有關事項描述的准確無誤, 在商務英語的使用中常出現大量的被動語態、祈使句、非謂語動詞、情態動詞以及各種從句。如: In case thecontract is concluded on CIF basis, the insurance shall be effectedby the Seller for 110% of invoice value covering all risks, warrisk, S.R.C.C.risks (i.e.Strikes, Riot, and Civil Commotions).( 在到岸價基礎上訂立的合同, 將由賣方按發票金額110%投保綜合險、戰爭險、罷工險、暴亂險和民變險。) 這是一份合同中有關保險的內容, 句子中用了被動語態( is concluded, shall be effected)、非謂語動詞( covering all risks) 、情態動詞( shall) , 另外還用了in case 引導的條件句。四、商務英語的文化意識在西方由於種族淵源，自然環境，宗教信仰，經濟發展程度等因素的不同，構成了各不相同的文化體系， 從而人們的觀念傳統，思維方式，價值取向以及語言表達等也大相徑庭。在一種文化中被看成是自信和有專業能力的行為，在另一種文化有可能被視為傲慢或對對方缺乏興趣的表現。在一種文化中被看作是柔弱的東西，如自我批評，修正自己的觀點或從多種視角來看問題等，在跨文化交際中有可能是實現共同交際目的的最重要的前提之一。在商界，因為公司主管們不熟悉客戶所在國的風俗習慣和文化傳統而蒙受損失的事屢屢發生。因此商務英語的學習者必須意識到許多文化差異的存在及其對商業和個人生活的影響，避免出現「文化沖突」。五、翻譯原則和商務英語翻譯原則5.1翻譯是一種跨越時空的語言活動是「把一種語言已經表達出來的東西用另一種語言准確而完整的表達出來」是「從語義到文體在譯入語中用最切近二又最自然的對等語再現原語的信息」翻譯雖為個體所承做卻是一種社會活動一門綜合性很強的學科集郵很強的理論性又有豐富的實踐內涵。翻譯是人類社會活動的產物是人類進步的需要。人類社會要發展就需要在不同文化的民族之間進行溝通這一過程離不開翻譯。正如張培基所說「Translating it is that openeth the window to let in the light that breaketh the shell that we may eat the kernnel」翻譯是門科學也是沒藝術還是一種創造性工作。5.2商務英語翻譯在商務活動中起橋梁作用連接中國與世界其他國家的商務交流，翻譯質量也倍受關注，因為他有特殊性，翻譯標准也更要求統一。商務英語中很多的專業詞彙不同與一般的英語翻譯，甚至很多英語單詞在商務英語中會有完全不同與普通英語的意思，商務英語的句子翻譯也難於一般英語，翻譯標准更高於一般英語。對於商務英語翻譯的原則，無論是嚴復先生的「信、達、雅」，還是彼得.紐馬克的翻譯交際法都無法完全套用，但均可適當借鑒。眾多翻譯家和從事商務英語翻譯的學者都提出了自己的看法。張新紅、李明認為商務英語翻譯「譯者除了要精通兩種語言及其文化以及熟悉翻譯技巧之外，還必須熟悉商務方面的知識，了解商務各個領域的語言特點和表達法。」 常玉田談到翻譯的原則時說，「翻譯的最基本任務不是轉換語言，而是傳達『意思』 、『信息』和『內容』」。劉法公先生提出的「忠實、准確、統一」的商務英語翻譯原則從根本上適應了商務英語這一特殊性。所以，商務英語翻譯不同於文學翻譯和其他文體的翻譯，它必須強調語義的對等或等效，做到「地道、准確」，讓讀者有專業化的感受，而不是一般的語言描述。在商務英語翻譯中,「准確嚴謹」原則要求譯者在翻譯過程中選詞要准確, 概念表達要確切, 物與名所指要正確, 數碼與單位要精確。譯文所傳遞的信息同原文所傳遞的信息要保持一致。商務英語翻譯與貿易、合同、保險、投資、貨運、金融等領域的文字相聯系, 所涉及內容嚴肅而具體, 不允許譯者在翻譯時隨便表達1）准確嚴謹原則商務英語的翻譯要忠實、准確地將源語言的信息用目標語言表達出來，做到原文讀者獲得的信息與譯文讀者獲得的信息內涵相等，即信息等值。譯者在翻譯的過程中選詞要准確，概念表達要確切，數碼與單位要精確。相比起語言表達形式，商務翻譯更注重內容的忠實、准確，使翻譯達到使用的目的2）規范統一原則這里指的是運用詞語規范，符合約定俗成的含義。譯文的語言和行為方式要合乎商務文獻的語言規范。在商務英語翻譯過程中所採用的「譯名、概念、術語」等在任何時候都應保持統一，不允許將同一概念或術語隨意變換譯名。不統一的譯名必然造成誤解，使讀者對譯文不知所雲。這樣的翻譯更多地應歸咎於譯者的敷衍態度。3）專業原則在商務英語翻譯中，應針對某一專門行業，運用相關的專業知識和恰當的翻譯策略和技巧，使譯文的讀者能獲得等值的專業信息。作為一名商務譯者，對相關專業知識要有相當的了解，才不至於誤譯，給有關雙方造成糾紛和損失。在翻譯的過程中要注意正確使用商務專業術語、縮略語及出現在不同領域中的專業新詞語。六商務英語翻譯技巧6.1加減詞譯英漢兩種語言各自具有獨特的結構和修辭手段，因而翻譯時必然會有一些文字上的損失和增加。在譯文中增加一些語意信息補充原文隱含的語意或刪去一些詞語搭建某種語法形式做彌補。如：（1）It is more expensive than it was last time but not as good. 加詞譯法：價格比上次的高，但質量比上次的差。（2）We assure you of our prompt attention to this matter.減詞譯法：我們保證立即處理此事。（減譯you,our）6.2轉換譯轉換是指商務英語翻譯中語言的詞性和表現方法的改變。由於英語和漢語的表達習慣、句子結構和詞的搭配關系都有差異，在翻譯中往往難以做到詞性和表現方法的一致。為了適應譯文語言的表達習慣和語法規則，在商務英語翻譯中必須運用詞類和表現方法的轉換技巧。（1)詞性的轉換。如：Please let us know if our terms are acceptable.請告知是否接受我方條款。（形容詞acceptable轉類為動詞）（2)句型的轉換。如：We have to make it sure that the remittance of commission made as such is not against local regulations. 我們得確保這樣匯付傭金不違反當地規定。6.3分句或合句譯（1)分句是指把原文的句子翻譯成兩個或兩個以上的句子，這樣可以把意思表達得更加明白易懂。如：We have forwarded the catalogs and drawings you sent us to some large manufactures and now have affirmative answer from a factory in Shanghai.我們已將寄來的目錄和圖紙轉交幾家大廠，現已接到上海一家工廠願意承辦的答復。（2)合句是指把原文兩個或兩個以上的單句或復合句在譯文中用一個單句或復句來表達。如：We hope this will go smoothly and you are able to conclude the contract soon.希望一切順利，並速簽合同。七、結語要做好商務英語翻譯，需要具備深厚的專業知識，對國際貿易的相關術語要有較全面的了解。同時，還要掌握商務英語翻譯的基本原則和技巧。只有將這兩方面的技能有效結合，才能在商務英語翻譯中感到得心應手為了真正掌握商務英語, 我們必須在打好英語語言基礎的前提下, 加強商務知識的學習, 兩者相輔相成, 才能促進商務英語水平的不斷提高。同時, 在商務英語的翻譯中, 必須遵循一定的翻譯原則, 採用一些翻譯策略。只有不斷地學習最新的知識, 積累實踐經驗, 擴大知識面, 才能使商務英語的翻譯真正達到信、達、雅的境界。
