Ⅰ 求英语习惯用语
1. Hold on 等一下 （口语中，人们不太用wait a minute）如果两人辩论，吵架，抬杠，你要别人“打住”，可以说，hold it right there. 也可以说说：Bear with me for a moment. 或者Hang on,都是“等一下”的意思。
2. I cannot take it any more. 我再也无法忍受了。前面还可以加上一句：Don't push me. 不要再逼我呀。 同样意思的句子还有：I cannot stand him any longer. 或者说，I am so fed up with your nonsense.
3. Don't take it out on me! 不要把气出在我身上。
4. Cut, 砍，剪，这个词口语中有许多其他的意思。make the cut 在一群人中胜出。Out of a pool of twenty applicants, only 3 made the cut.在二十人申请中，只有三人获得录取。He has made the cut in the list. 他在一系列人中胜出获选。俚语的意思是“我的那一份呢？”两个土匪分赃，一个土匪说：Where is my cut? 现在你跟人谈生意，谈了半天也没有见到自己的利益所在，你也可以说：Where is my cut? Cuts, $10.这里的cuts作“剪头发”解释。又作“减薪水”解释："Management shouldn't get a reward while everybody else takes a cut." I was laid off e to workforce cut. 因为裁员，我别解雇了。cut out 有两个意思，一是被动态，例句： I just don't think I'm cut out for music. 我根本就不是搞音乐的料。He has his work cut out for him in the company. 他在公司面临重大挑战。have one’s work cut out for you, 遇到难干的工作。二是主动态，有停止的意思。例句：We cut out cable TV and have saved a lot of money. 我们断了有线电视，省了不少钱。Let us cut a deal. 我们来做一笔交易吧。short cut，捷径，There is no short cut for English learning. 学英语没有捷径可走。cut in line, 插队。
5. Gut, I hate his guts. 我最讨厌他。也有说I hate him guts. guts 是肠子，相当于“恨之入骨”的意思。He doesn’t have much guts. 他是个胆小鬼。 gut feeling 直觉 My guts tell me one thing, my mind tells me something quite different. 我的直觉告诉我是回事，但是我的理智却告诉我说另外一件事。Go with your gut. Your instinct can usually steer you in the right direction. 就根据你的本能去做决定吧，你的直觉常常会把你带到正确的方向。gut-wrenching ride with roller-coaster 坐过山车时翻江倒胃；
a gut issue, 涉及情感的问题；sweat out one’s guts；闷身汗出来（感冒就好了。）sweat out an exam；倍受考试煎熬。get down to the guts of a matter.谈谈问题的实质吧！
比较gutter: "gutter politics" in the midst of the presidential race，总统竞选时挖对方的垃圾。
6. nuts, 果仁，核，意为“疯子”时多用复数，但也有用单数的，He is nuts.或He is a nut.他有神经病。religious nut, 宗教狂热分子。 He went nuts and killed a guy.他发疯了，结果杀了一个人。You are driving me nuts. 你真是要把我逼疯。a tough nut to crack, 一项艰巨的任务，一个难解之题。
7. rut, How is everything? (还好吗？) I am just stuck in a rut, doing the same things every day. I wish I could do something different. (烦死了，每天都是干同样的活，我真想换个活法。) rut 日常的，每天都如此，get in a rut，日复一日，天天如此。
8. I am just ecstatic about going to visit you soon. 马上要见你，我高兴死了。
9. A dap and dip 打个照面，露下脸就走。Matt: Are we going to Jon's party?我们去琼的聚会吗？Darryl: Yeah, but I don't want to stay long, so let's make it a dap and dip.那就去吧，不过我可不想多呆，我们打个照面就走人好了。
10. I would like to get a job within couching distance. 我想找个不用走路就可以上班的工作。Couching distance,沙发距离，就是坐在沙发上不起身也能够得着。这是那种 couch potato喜欢做的美梦。

Cool：That’s cool! 等於台湾年轻人常用的囗语“酷！”，表示不赖嘛！用于人或事均可。
What’s up? = What’s happening?=What’s new? 见面时随囗问候的话“最近在忙什么？有什么新鲜
事吗？”一般的回答是“Nothing much!”或“Nothing new!”
Cut it out! = Knock it out！= Stop it! 少来这一套！同学之间开玩笑的话。
Don’t give me a hard time! 别跟我过不去好不好！
Get yourself together! 振作点行不行！
Do you have "the" time? 现在几点钟？可别误以为人家要约你出去。
Hang in there. = Don’t give up. = Keep trying. 再撑一下。

下垂的眼角、含糊不清的发音--这是西尔维斯特.史泰龙最为公认的两大特点。可能很少人知道这实际上是在他出生时由于使用产钳导致面部神经麻痹的结果。这些“特点”在他童年时给他带来许多麻烦。
史泰龙的父亲弗兰克.史泰龙是发型师，母亲杰奎琳.史泰龙是合唱团歌手。他童年时被寄养在别人家里，寂寞的日子里他靠看漫画书来打发时间，为了 模仿书中的英雄，淘气的他共断掉过十一根骨头。他曾有先后被十四所学校开除的记录，最终他选择了瑞士的美国学院，学习表演。他在学生创作的《推销员之死》 中的表演大获好评，这使他意识到表演是他一生的追求。
史泰龙回到美国之后进入了迈阿密大学戏剧系。但不幸的是当时没有老师赏识他。他没有修完就退了学，前往纽约去寻求发展。一个有趣的细节是，史泰龙的母亲通过占卜认定他应该在写作上有所突破，于是他开始了剧本创作。他靠做各种各样的工作来付房租，有时也演一些小角色。
正在他寻找写剧本的工作时，史泰龙碰巧看了一场拳王阿里和一个小拳手的比赛。小拳手居然与阿里苦斗了15个回合。这给了史泰龙灵感，他用三天就 完成了拳手洛基的传奇故事。由于他坚持由自己扮演洛基，让许多制作人望而却步。终于找到投资之后，《洛基》仅用了一个月就完成了。这匹1976年的黑马一 举赚得两亿两千五百万美元，并赢得了当年的奥斯卡最佳影片和最佳导演奖。史泰龙本人也获得最佳男主角和剧本的提名。
“洛基”和另一个“少言寡语”的孤胆英雄兰博(Rambo)给史泰龙带来了极大的名气和收入，这两部系列电影至少赚了二十亿美元。他为了摆脱角 色的束缚曾接演了一些喜剧片，但没有获得成功。回到动作片之后，英雄又获得了喝彩。《爆破者》(Demonlition Man)、《炸弹专家》(The Specialist)、《最后的最后的刺客》(Assassins)以及近期的《十万火急》(Daylight)都有不错的口碑。为了证明自己也是一个 “严肃”的演员，史泰龙与罗伯特.德尼罗合作了电影《警察帝国》。其它由史泰龙主演的影片还有Capone, Comes the Watcher及《盗匪横行》(Gangland)。 近期作品是由环球电影公司拍摄的恐怖片《亨特》，史泰龙担当主角。

席尔维斯史泰龙( Sylvester Enzio Stallone), 1946年6月6日出生于美国纽约，小时候的史泰龙在同学眼中可一点都没把他和动作片巨星连在一起，同学还觉得他是「最有可能在电椅上结束生命的人」，想想史泰龙日后的成就也算是扬眉吐气了，当然，初入电影圈的史泰龙，免不了仅能接触一些跑龙套的小角色，终于在演出自己编写的剧本【洛基】后，小媳妇出头天，而后的【反暴特勤组】及【Victory】虽然票房不如预期，但【第一滴血】蓝波一角将史泰龙再往上推一层，观众爱死了这个话不多、坚毅不屈、怎么折磨都不死的John Rambo。
史泰龙在萤幕上的表现为他获得不少掌声，曾被选为全球100大电影明星及列名于最顶尖的20名动作巨星之内的史泰龙并不以此为满足，他【极速竞赛】中就跳脱动作影片的制式框架，从题材的选择到角色的诠释，都可以看出史泰龙的用心，尤其是在片中谈到关于「人生的第二个机会」这个概念，就某种程度而言就如同在形容史泰龙的演艺之路一样，心理历程的转折相当清晰。
相信很多人都是从【洛基】开始认识席维斯史泰龙，也因为【洛基】这部影片涤讪史泰龙在好莱坞武打动作巨星的地位；虽然史泰龙以在好莱坞片酬排行榜中算是顶尖级的男演员，不过史泰龙更想突破的是争取更宽广的表演空间，尤其是他积极的想争取喜剧及剧情类影片的演出，但观众及片商仍看好他矫健的身手，如【极速竞赛】史泰龙仍有精采及高难度的动作表现。
可是别看史泰龙身手矫健，他却有一个会终身伴随着他的遗憾，那就是在他出生时，医生使用产钳的处理不当，造成他左脸的部分肌肉麻痹，所以在说话的时候会有些许的含糊不清，不过，人只要一红，任何特征都会变成特色，当史泰龙站上好莱坞一线男星的位置时，他独特的发音反而和他俐落的表演一样成为焦点。
值得一提的是，史泰龙的母亲可是另一位动作巨星成龙的死中影迷，也因为如此，这两位顶尖的动作片演员可是私交甚笃呢！

席尔维斯史泰龙( Sylvester Enzio Stallone), 1946年6月6日出生于美国纽约，小时候的史泰龙在同学眼中可一点都没把他和动作片巨星连在一起，同学还觉得他是「最有可能在电椅上结束生命的人」，想想史泰龙日后的成就也算是扬眉吐气了，当然，初入电影圈的史泰龙，免不了仅能接触一些跑龙套的小角色，终于在演出自己编写的剧本【洛基】后，小媳妇出头天，而后的【反暴特勤组】及【Victory】虽然票房不如预期，但【第一滴血】蓝波一角将史泰龙再往上推一层，观众爱死了这个话不多、坚毅不屈、怎么折磨都不死的John Rambo。
史泰龙在萤幕上的表现为他获得不少掌声，曾被选为全球100大电影明星及列名于最顶尖的20名动作巨星之内的史泰龙并不以此为满足，他【极速竞赛】中就跳脱动作影片的制式框架，从题材的选择到角色的诠释，都可以看出史泰龙的用心，尤其是在片中谈到关于「人生的第二个机会」这个概念，就某种程度而言就如同在形容史泰龙的演艺之路一样，心理历程的转折相当清晰。
相信很多人都是从【洛基】开始认识席维斯史泰龙，也因为【洛基】这部影片涤讪史泰龙在好莱坞武打动作巨星的地位；虽然史泰龙以在好莱坞片酬排行榜中算是顶尖级的男演员，不过史泰龙更想突破的是争取更宽广的表演空间，尤其是他积极的想争取喜剧及剧情类影片的演出，但观众及片商仍看好他矫健的身手，如【极速竞赛】史泰龙仍有精采及高难度的动作表现。
可是别看史泰龙身手矫健，他却有一个会终身伴随着他的遗憾，那就是在他出生时，医生使用产钳的处理不当，造成他左脸的部分肌肉麻痹，所以在说话的时候会有些许的含糊不清，不过，人只要一红，任何特征都会变成特色，当史泰龙站上好莱坞一线男星的位置时，他独特的发音反而和他俐落的表演一样成为焦点。
值得一提的是，史泰龙的母亲可是另一位动作巨星成龙的影迷，也因为如此，这两位顶尖的动作片演员可是私交甚笃呢！
